The Story of Apollo, an exhibition of selected space-related items from the extensive collection of local resident Rob Sumowski, is on display in the Newberry Hall science gallery immediately adjacent to the entrance of the Mark Smith Planetarium.
Learn about the early years of American manned space flight, from projects Friendship through Apollo in this exhibition, which also contains prints signed by famous space explorers, including John Glenn, Allen Shepherd, and Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin, who narrates part of a special Google Moon tour viewable on the monitor near the Planetarium’s entrance.
The Story of Apollo will be on display through September 30, 2012.
