Master Gardener training

Presented by Macon-Bibb County Extension at Macon-Bibb County Extension

The purpose of the Georgia Master Gardener® Program is to assist UGA Extension by training volunteer educators. Thereafter, they will provide current horticultural information through community service and educational gardening projects, using applied research and the resources of the University of Georgia.

The Master Gardener Extension Volunteer training consists of a combination of lectures, reading, hands-on activities, and off-site visits. We will meet each Thursday, February 7 – May 2, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (most days). Along with the successful completion of the training classes, you must complete 50 hours of volunteer service, under the direction of the county Extension agent, within one year to become a certified Master Gardener.
