Oktoberfest! A Bavarian Night In Macon

Oktoberfest! A Bavarian Night In Macon

Presented by The Rookery at The Armory Ballroom

In 1810, Crown Prince Ludwig, later to become King Ludwig I, was married to Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen on October 12. The citizens of Munich, Germany were invited to attend the festivities held on the fields in front of the city gates to celebrate the happy royal event. There was much beer, food, music and merriment! And with this celebration Oktoberfest was born!

Now we invite you to celebrate Oktoberfest in Macon.

The beautiful and historic Armory Ballroom in downtown Macon will play host to a night of music, food, and of course beer. Headlining the event is Macon’s favorite bluegrass band, the exciting, Back City Woods. DJ Kevin from DKH will keep the party moving. And everybody’s favorite group of law school professors, Good Country People will open the night playing everybody’s favorite tunes!

The Rookery, one of downtown’s favorite eateries, known for their locally grown and raised dishes and creative cuisine will provide the food for the evening’s festivities. And to top it all off your stein will never run dry. That’s right, a bottomless beer is included in your ticket price.

And as if that’s not enough your ticket helps to benefit the Central Georgia Breast Cancer Center! You can feel good about having a good time knowing your money was well spent!
