In the spirit of Thanksgiving we are invited the community to come celebrate Thanksgiving at your local recreation centers around the city. Several organizations are contributing their time and food to feed those less fortunate. Tuesday November the 20th (5:00-7:30pm) we are having a family friendly program at Freedom Park, Memorial Park, and Frank Johnson recreation centers. We are currently working to have a program at Bloomfield and Rosa Jackson Parks as well, but will update the public if these two centers will be included as well. The aim is to show long and to promote a reconnection in the neighborhood in which we live. The Mayor’s office and Parks and Recreation are supporting this event and donating to the program. Donations can be made at Freedom Park, Memorial Park, Frank Johnson, This & That Unlimited (On Mercer University Dr.), Just Right Barbershop, and Klean Kut Barbershop.
