An exhibition of sculptures, drawings, and painted works by Deborah Masters, representing two series: Spirits and Crosses. Suspended from the ceiling, the artist’s monumental sculptural heads with garments reflect the people she has known and venerated in all their social, existential, and spiritual dimensions. A selection of related painted works also will be displayed that combine religious, personal, and social imagery. Strong and direct, the art of Masters presents the human condition as a moving, present reality. Masters earned a BFA in 1973 from Bryn Mawr College, and also studied at Haverford College and the New York Studio School. She lives and works in New York and has exhibited extensively across the US.
This exhibition was organized through Katharine T. Carter & Associates and is proudly sponsored by Raymond James.
This exhibition can be viewed with regular museum admission.
