In this 6-week class, adults will learn the basics of oil painting. Students will go step by step through painting a still life, from mixing colors to composition to brushstrokes. In the process, students will also learn about color theory, materials, and other topics unique to oil paints. This class is open to beginners with little painting experience, as well as intermediate artists who wish to review the basics of oil painting. The cost for the entire course is $150 for non-members, $120 for members, and includes all supplies. The class will meet on Mondays, 6:30-8:30 pm, starting April 29. Ages 16 and up.
