We meet monthly to catch up, share stories, and learn what’s working for our clients. Chapter meetings are open to the public. Over 21 million Americans lack the ID they need to live full lives. At Project ID, we help members of our communities obtain the IDs they need for jobs, housing, health care, and, most importantly, identity.

We are actively looking for volunteers to join our team. Our chapter was formed in mid-2018, and so far have obtained over 140 IDs for clients in the Macon area. Volunteers assist clients in obtaining proof of citizenship (birth certificate), proof of identity (social security card) and proof of address. We provide transportation to the DDS and other government offices, and cover the necessary fees. Training is provided, and background checks are required for volunteers.
