Seniors and low- to moderate- income taxpayers can have 2019 Federal and Georgia tax returns filed electronically, for free.
During tax season, AARP volunteers who are certified by the IRS prepare taxes at the Buck Melton Community Center. First come, first served on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through April 15. Building opens at 8am. Last client accepted at noon.
This AARP Foundation program welcomes low- to moderate-income taxpayers, especially those 60 and older. It’s the nation’s largest volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance service.
Bring along social security cards for everyone to be listed on your return, your driver’s license, W-2 forms, 1099 forms, and any other IRS forms that you have received. Include last year’s tax return if you have it and any documentation needed for itemizing or claiming credits.
