Knitting is a tangible way of coding- following a written set of directions that include patterns, repeats, and functions.
Do you know that coding and knitting are very similar? Knitting is a tangible way of
coding- following a written set of directions that include patterns, repeats, and
functions. For those who are kinetic learners, knitting can be a way to help them
understand the concepts behind coding before they move into the digital world, in a way
that reading text on a screen might not connect with them. In this camp we will use
learning to knit to learn the basic terms associated with coding. At the end of the week,
you will take home your own pair of knitting needles, as well as a scarf and washcloth
designed by you!
Cost: $100 + $35 materials fee
