Crossroads Writers Conference

Crossroads Writers Conference

at Mercer University

You don’t have to do this alone. Yeah, ultimately it’s just you and your words holed-up in a seedy apartment (or plush home office), locked in a deadly game of who-flinches-first.

But when you aren’t putting pen to paper, to whom do you turn? Who understands your struggles? Other writers do. And if you’re writing, you’re a writer, which makes you one of us.

Coming together is what writers do. Dorothy Parker had the Algonquin Roundtable. Ernest Hemingway wandered with the Lost Generation. Jack Kerouac hit the road with the Beats. We have Crossroads.

Creativity thrives in community.

That’s why Crossroads is back for its fifth year: Because we need each other and another dose the most (legal) fun you can have without a note from your doctor.

Just make sure you rest up before you come to the Crossroads. You’ll load up your brain in the talks, panels, workshops and forums. But you’ll stretch your imagination while you reconnect with old friends, make new ones and hob-nob with the pros.

It ain’t for the faint of heart.

Coming together is what writers do. Dorothy Parker had the Algonquin Roundtable. Ernest Hemingway wandered with the Lost Generation. Jack Kerouac hit the road with the Beats. We have Crossroads. Creativity thrives in community, so join us October 4-6, 2013 in Macon, Georgia… Where the word nerds are!
