Landmindz,Inc; the historic Douglass Theatre; and the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival presents the 6th annual Macon The Stage theatrical and music exposition fundraiser at the Douglass Theatre June 7 & 8! The event is an artistic two day display of acting and musical talent and celebration of Macon’s music history.

Macon The Stage will feature a medley of shorty plays on June 7, a free acting workshop on the morning of June 8, a VIP Gala and sidewalk star unveiling for Macon based music legend and trumpet Newton “Newt” Collier of 1960’s soul duo Sam and Dave fame at 6pm June 8 in the theatre’s annex, and SOULSVILLE – a musical tribute to Collier at 8pm June 8 on the theatre’s main stage.
