Kintsugi Ceramics Workshop

Kintsugi Ceramics Workshop

Presented by Macon Arts Alliance at Mill Hill Community Arts Center

Kintsugi is the traditional Japanese technique of repairing broken ceramics with lacquer and gold. As an art form, kintsugi speaks of highlighting imperfections and embracing the destructive history of the object—unsightly cracks and chips become more beautiful than before, creating a new object that tells its own story. As a practical repairing technique, kintsugi is an economical way to repair broken ceramics that are strong, beautiful, and personal. Learn this delicate craft from a Japanese Kintsugi teacher at this special workshop.
