Macon’s acclaimed violinist, Robert McDuffie, will be joined by Robert Spano, pianist and current Music Director of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

Macon’s acclaimed violinist, Robert McDuffie, will be joined by Robert Spano, pianist and current Music Director of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in a recital tour which includes Macon as well as Atlanta, Athens and Savannah. The program will include Brahms, Corigliano and Beethoven. Mr. McDuffie is a Grammy-nominated violinist who enjoys a dynamic and multi-faceted career. He is founder of the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, a conservatory for undergraduate and graduate students at Mercer University. In addition to the tour with Spano, McDuffie will tour with Mike Mills and Chuck Leavell. He will also tour with La Verdi Orchestra of Milan performing Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Philip Glass’ American Four Seasons. Mr. Spano is known worldwide for the intensity of his artistry and distinctive communicative abilities, creating a sense of inclusion and warmth among musicians and audiences.
