Science Saturday: Origins of Life

Science Saturday: Origins of Life

Presented by Middle Georgia Regional Library at Washington Memorial Library

It’s the ultimate detective story. How did life begin on Earth, and could such a process exist elsewhere in the Universe? Many scientists think that planets with life may be as common as stars. Before we can search for life elsewhere, we must solve the mystery of life on Earth. This presentation traces “life” from an early hostile Earth to the diverse and amazing array of living things we know today.

Philip Groce, President, Helping Planetariums Succeed, is a planetarium design consultant who has participated as a member of the design, engineering and project management team of more than 50 new and renovated planetariums around the US, including Macon’s own planetarium at the Museum of Arts & Sciences. Currently, he is consulting on planetarium projects in California and Iceland.
