In this class you will learn the basics of handbuilding ceramic skills with a very hands on approach. The instructor will demonstrate the basics of how to coil and pinch at the beginning of the class, and then help you as you give it a go.

You will create 1-3 pieces based on your individual ability and designs. In this introduction class, you will not only learn how to build a form, but also basic surface treatments. Therefore, you will be creating your forms for the first half, and decorating your pieces for the second half of the time.

If a class does not reach a minimum number of participants, the class will be rescheduled for the next available Saturday.

***After finishing your work, the instructor will glaze the piece for you. (clear glaze or your choice of one of the studio glazes)
***If you would like to glaze your finished piece, you will need to sign up for a glaze session ($25/per person). The instructor will teach you how to glaze your work and also show you various glazing techniques base on your project.
