Bailey is a teacher, art historian, artist, and art preservationist who works with oil, watercolor, and printmaking.
Dr. Elizabeth “Libby” Bailey, professor of art at Wesleyan College, was a recipient of the fourth annual Governor’s Awards for the Arts and Humanities. In 2002, she created the “Adopt-A-Painting” program at Wesleyan with the philosophy that the College’s art must be conserved, displayed, and enjoyed by all constituents of the community.
