First Friday Art Crawl

Presented by The 567 Center for Renewal and Macon Arts Gallery at Downtown Macon

Check out all the great art galleries open late with special events on February’s First Friday in downtown Macon! Admission to all the galleries is free.

Travis Jean Emporium (522 Cherry Street), 5-10 pm
The featured artist for First Friday will be A Girl Like Me. Don’t let others define the girls in your life… Sheila Mae creates art that helps young girls find their voice. Musical guest for the evening is Mis Keela’s Rhythmic Jazz from 6-8 pm.

Macon Arts Alliance (486 1st Street), 5-8 pm
Macon Arts Gallery is proud to present “Drawn to Macon,” an exhibit of work from women artists of Middle Georgia. Meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments.

The 567 Center for Renewal (456 1st Street), 6-9 pm
The February exhibit will be Pink Poodle Parade, featuring painted poodles and other original artwork by local artists to kick off the Cherry Blossom season. Meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments.

McEachern Art Center (332 2nd Street), 6-9 pm
Mercer’s McEachern Art Center will unveil two new exhibits this Friday as part of Macon’s First Friday festivities. The first is a photo-based installation by Chicago-based artist Kelly Kristin Jones, and the second will showcase works by Bibb County School District seniors in Central High School’s IB Arts Program.
