Storytellers is an event held every Second Tuesday of the month at Grant’s Lounge located at 576 Poplar St, Macon, GA 31201. A different topic is given each month and storytellers are invited to speak on that topic.
“In the weeds” is what people in the restaurant business say when they are so covered up in customers that they can’t see daylight. Restaurant work is tough, but life in general can be overwhelming and challenging. Problems and challenges are social creatures, they never seem to show up alone. Everyone feels sometimes like they are sinking and can’t swim fast enough to break the surface.
That is the basis of this month’s theme: The View from the Weeds.
Have you ever been ‘In the weeds” in your personal or professional life? Ever been buried, swamped, plowed under, drowning, or up to your ass in alligators? What was the view like from there? Join us and our featured Storyteller, local caterer and restaurateur Saralyn Collins on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 for our next Storytelling event and let us know. We will begin at 6:30 p.m. for socializing at Historic Grant’s Lounge (576 Poplar St.) and stories start promptly at 7.
As always, admission is free, and while we would love to hear your story, be it heart-warming, funny, or just a rant, it is not required. See you there!
