Tactical Urbanism | 2 PM – FB Live
Tactical Urbanism includes low-cost, temporary changes to the built environment, usually in cities, intended to improve local neighborhoods and city gathering places. Tactical urbanism is also commonly referred to as guerilla urbanism, pop-up urbanism, city repair, or D.I.Y. urbanism. Weston Stroud leads this walk and talks about ways to engage communities and how to empower neighborhoods.

Quick, Low-cost Interventions to Improve Mobility in Macon | 3:30 PM – FB Live
Take a walk with Bike Walk Macon’s Executive Director, Rachel Umana, from Tattnall Square Park to Downtown Macon. Along the way, Rachel will stop and highlight several interventions that Bike Walk Macon has led in the past to improve mobility in Macon, including Open Streets Macon, a bike rack donation program, artistic crosswalks, and Macon’s first green bike lane.

Macon Downtown is taking Covid-19 seriously and it shows. Join Kaylee Pruitt as she highlights businesses that can remain open, what they are doing to stay safe, and how this city comes together to support and find other ways to have a good time and stay in business.

Architectural Gems in Decay are Worth Saving. Tour selected homes reflecting Macon at its best and worst. The area is rich in history, the streets with small and narrow driveways indicate the kinds of transportation used. The residents even boarded street cars at one time. Executive Director of the Fuller Center, Lynda Brown and friends will take us on a journey of this fascinating neighborhood.

Explore life and landscape through the eyes of the artists in photography. What do they look for, how do they perceive us and how do they present us through photography?
