Good Food - a sustainable table for all, a local food dinner and discussion.

Good Food - a sustainable table for all, a local food dinner and discussion.

Presented by Macon Roots at Beall's Hill Community Garden at Centenary Church

In celebration of Earth Day 2014, join GIPL and Macon neighbors for a community event that features a local, seasonal feast and that explores theologically sound practices in farming and environmental stewardship. We will feast on a local and seasonal meal in the Beall’s Hill Community Garden at Centenary Church while being led in a thought-provoking and interactive conversation with Dr. Jennifer Ayres, Presbyterian minister and professor at Candler School of Theology. Ayres' recently published book Good Food is the basis for this gathering, to inspire people of faith in Macon in their practices of sustainable eating and environmental stewardship for all God's creation.

All are invited to this event – no matter where you find yourself along the sustainable eating and local food spectrum. Come, seeking to find hope in the "everyday visionaries who are slowly bringing awareness to the multi-layered matters of how we nourish and are nourished."

Tickets are $25, children's tickets are $5 with a max $60 family price. Space is limited, RSVP today. You can buy your tickets and RSVP at the ticket link. There are several scholarships available, please email info@gipl.org for more info.
