Listen to the heartbeat of Georgia’s best stories.
Your friends and neighbors speak their truth. For the past five years, Storytellers Macon has been asking people around Middle Georgia to tell their stories. The ritual has grown from front porches and bonfire tales to monthly open events at Grant’s Lounge, Amerson River Park, and now stART Up Studios. This limited series will bring the best stories back for a heightened presentation at The Grand, which will be recorded live for a new podcast series about the real-life souls in the city where soul lives.
The theme is Kings and Queens: Royalty can find a place in even the most ordinary of settings – or even inside our souls. Elevating yourself has little to do with a crown. The kings and queens in our lives carry their heads high with dignity and grace, above the fray of ugly feelings and self-doubt. In this show, we’ll say an enthusiastic YAAAS to the regal presence of queens on the runway, kings of the jungle, and the spectrum of monarchs queering the gender binary. Grab your sparkliest tiara and settle in for a night of stories.
