Come down and see world class artwork from the safety of your car as we host Johnny “Mo” Mollica and Kevin Scene Lewis at the continually changing Triangle Arts Gallery. We also are offering another video immersion experience in our Video Room!
Come down and see the incredible artistry of Johnny Mo and Kevin “Scene” Lewis at the Triangle Arts Macon. These guys are pros – and you need to see their work before it heads to bigger markets. Johnny MO is big in the “Absurdist” folk art movement, having produced numerous works which are in public and private collections throughout the Southeast. Kevin is rapidly becoming one of this areas most sought after artists. You may have seen him in print or on the news for his recent tribute to Ruth Bader Ginsberg.
Also, we are featuring two video pioneers in our quonset hut Video Theater. Willie Dantzler travels globally with Guerilla toss (and Owns Fresh Produce Records) and once again brings his video mastery in this collaborative show. Also presenting with Willie is Craig Coleman, the Chair of the Arts Department at Mercer, who will again surprise us with clever, epic visual tricks. Both of these are bringing old school to a new medium with outstanding results. If you were one of the 500 folks lucky enough to get into the Halloween Drive Thru at Triangle, then you have a taste for what these guys can do. And we are also hosting – for the first time – the incredible podcast of the Madvocats. These guys will perform during the video immersion at 7pm and at 8pm. They offer a “Firesign Theater” type of amazing podcast – free-flowing, extemporaneous, and always funny;-)
Finally, we will offer more artwork in our “Wunderkammer” as part of the arts outreach partnership with the Museum of Arts and Sciences. And as always, come down and see the incredible street art at Triangle – the home of the greatest collection of street art in Middle Georgia. We are adding more each week – come down and see our new work.
Tickets are available from eventbrite for $5 (plus fees…) or for $10 at the door. This helps to cover our building fund, which is currently being funded to add an art walk around the back of the property for visitors to see and experience even more art.
