The 567 Center opens up its pottery studio for an evening to drop in and create any handbuilding project you choose. They’ll provide a lump of clay large enough to make a mug, bowl, or other similar project, as well as space and equipment to work.
The 567 Center opens up its pottery studio for an evening to drop in and create any handbuilding project you choose. They’ll provide a lump of clay large enough to make a mug, bowl, or other similar project, as well as space and equipment to work. There will be an experienced clay artist there to help if you need it, but previous experience working with clay is recommended–this is not a class. $25 includes your clay and firing ($20 for members of The 567). The pottery wheels will not be available for use except to pottery studio members. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by their parent or other responsible adult. 7-9 pm. Due to limited seating, advanced registration is required to attend.
For the health and safety of our customers and artists, our studio will be open under the following guidelines:
* Small groups: there will be no more than 10 people allowed in the studio at one time.
* Social distancing: participants will sit 6 feet apart, unless they are in the same party.
* Masks: individuals must wear masks at all times.
* Sanitation: hand sanitizer will be provided. Tools, tables, and other frequently-touched surfaces will be sanitized between beforehand.
* Food and beverage: with the exception of water bottles, no food or drink will be allowed in the studio.
* Health: participants are asked not to come if they have a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19, or if they believe they have been exposed to COVID-19
