Arrive for socials at 6:30pm, stories start promptly at 7:00pm. Next month, we will be back at Grant\’s Lounge.
FOR DIRECTIONS:
We will be located at 1055 Riverside Drive, behind Startup Studios. The best way to get to the parking lot is to enter in the New City Church entrance and we will direct you from there. We will be seating the audience in groups with their household members or family over six feet apart from the next group. Please bring seating comfort options \”picnic-style\” (chairs, blankets, cushions, etc). stARTup Studios will have beer on sale at the event.
TOPIC: VANTAGE POINTS
We’ve all had those times when you look back on a memory… but the people who were there have different versions about what occurred. Maybe it was a moment between you and your parents as a child. Maybe it was how that fight with your spouse started. Maybe it was the day friends became lovers. Share all the details of the confusing, dueling perspectives — and if the other person wants to tell their side of the story, do it together!
There is always more than meets the eye when it comes to a story. Get at the different vantage points of a poignant moment now!
This will be a special Storytellers Presents as the last time we will be outdoors at stARTup Studios before returning to Grant\’s Lounge next month. So it is fitting that our featured storytellers will be Bryan Beck and Yen-Ting Chiu, our hosts and owners of the studio. You may know Bryan and Yen-Ting as business owners and artists in glass-blowing and ceramics, respectively. Or you may have run into them in downtown Macon enjoying a beer or hosting a bonfire.
