About the guest demonstrators:
Carol Griffin https://www.carolgriffinfinearts.com/

I paint mostly in oils.  Sometimes I use a limited palette but often use a warm and cool of each color.  I love painting En Plein Air, it is a real challenge, but painting from life either outside or in the studio is a great way to learn.  I paint a lot of landscapes and seascapes but am especially drawn to sunsets.  My work is impressionistic, but I also enjoy painting an abstract once in a while.   I have been fortunate to take classes from Ned Mueller, Libby Tolley, Kevin Macpherson, Kim English, Dee Beard Dean, Larry Moore, Perry Austin, Matt Smith, Skip Whitcomb, Bill Davidson, Ken Auster and many other fine artists.

Painting requires a lot of dedication and hard work, but worth every minute to be able to share with people who love and appreciate original art.

Sydney Sams https://www.sydneysamsfineart.com

Art has been part of my life since childhood, but I seriously pursued it professionally as an adult studying with an array of accomplished artists. Some of the artists I have studied with include  Matt Smith, Don Demers, Nancy Franke,  and Michael J. Lynch. I have studied most extensively with Bill Davidson including workshops in France, Italy, Wyoming, California and Georgia.

Being outdoors, or en plein air, has become my favorite, and most challenging, way of painting and I have found that this helps me see the subtle colors in the landscape–the colors that a camera misses or distorts.  From these studies, larger works can be completed in the studio.

Micah Goguen https://micahgoguen.com/

Micah Goguen grew up in Central Georgia and obtained his Bachelors in Art and Art History and his Masters in Art Therapy from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville. Residing currently in Macon, Ga., Micah focuses primarily on bringing art to the community and using art as a form of communication for those struggling to understand and cope with life situations. Goguen is a Certified GOLDEN Working Artist, SilverBrush Educator, and an Ampersand Artist Ambassador.

Andrea Kindl https://www.andreakindl.com/

Andrea Kindl is an Atlanta-area artist who is focused on still life, portrait, figure painting and landscape in oils.  A versatile artist, she also works in gouache, acrylic, and watercolor as well as various drawing mediums.  Andrea is passionate about capturing and conveying the mood inherent within her surroundings.  She achieves this by eliciting and expressing extraordinary elements within ordinary, everyday scenes.  Her work is characteristically serene and light-filled, yet colorful.

Andrea teaches local artists working in various mediums.  Her students have exhibited their own works at the local galleries and with the Gwinnett County Public Libraries.  Andrea enjoys volunteering to share her love of art with the community.  She organizes and leads group tours to the High Museum in Atlanta, the Booth Western Museum in Cartersville, and local galleries.  Andrea has also donated artwork to her church.  She served pro bono as the art director and lead artist on eight murals in the Park Springs Dementia Care facility.
