Open Streets Macon is coming to Pleasant Hill on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022 from 2pm – 5pm. Are you eager to participate or just want to learn more about this initiative? Please join us for a community meet and greet during Festivals in the Hills as we share how to get involved with this exciting program.
Linear Park – Second Avenue Cul-De-Sac
Sat., August 6, 2022 – 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
What is Open Streets?
Open Streets Macon will temporarily close the streets from Pursley St. to 3rd Ave. to Ward St. to automobile traffic, so that neighbors can reimagine the street as a welcoming and accessible place for walking, bicycling, dancing, and playing.
What will we do?
Bike Walk Macon is hosting this event in partnership with neighbors and organizations from the Pleasant Hill neighborhood. Thanks to a generous donation, we will also install a permanent traffic calming street project to improve biking and walking during the Open Streets event.
What can you do?
We are relying on residents like you to provide input for this project, and to also help us build Open Streets! Join us on August 6th to find out details about the October 2nd event.
