Art Opening – Showing the works of Rhonda Miller and Roomy Bass.
Rhonda Miller is fast becoming a sought after artist. She practices the classical “Folk Art” style, typically depicting women, who, like her, have gone through serious trauma and have emerged stronger. Give the amount of trauma she has faced, it is remarkable that she has come out the other side, much less continue to amaze us with her incredible talent.
Tommy Bass has just recently been “discovered”, although he began his love of art in elementary school in Macon. Early in his career, he was listed as one of the top artistic students in Macon. But, like many of us, he had to put away his dream and focus on his job and his family. He never forgot his desire for painting, and several years ago began putting together an extensive collection of abstract pattern drawings. When viewed individually, they are interesting and extremely detailed repetitive abstract pattern works. But when viewed from a distance, and especially when viewed in a grouping, these works take on an entirely different look. They are inspiring! After our show comes down, Tommy will be heading to Miami, where he has an association with another gallery. Please stop by, meet Tommy, talk to him about his art, and pick up one of his artworks before it all goes south!!
Free admission, though we do accept and appreciate donations.
