The Folk Blues Art Show is in it’s 7th year and the tradition of folk and outsider art continues. The show features unique and funky art works by veteran Macon artists and a few visting artsits also. It is free and open to all. The show takes place at Grant’s Lounge and all are welcome. It kicks off on Friday, September 22 at 5pm and continues until late night. On Saturday the show opens at 2pm and continues until late. Lounge patrons that come in to see the football games are welcome to check out the art. As are patrons that come to hear live music on both nights. But there is a cover charge for bands starting at 9pm. We are especially excited to be paired with bluesman Larry McCray and his new band, Catfish Mac and the Bottom Feeders on Saturday. Larry is internationally known and has chosen Grant’s as the place to debut his new classic electric blues act. This is one that you don’t want to miss! So come early for art and stay late for music, food (the pork chop sandwich is incredible!) and good times. Artists will be on site and look forward to meeting you.
