The Macon Film Festival and Macon Film Commission are partnering with AmStar 16 Cinemas to promote films made in Georgia. “Insurgent” was filmed in Atlanta.

Julie Wilkerson, Macon Film Festival president said, “Georgia based films and television productions generated an economic impact of $5.1 billion during the 2014 fiscal year. The festival’s partnership with AmStar allows us to highlight some of the many Georgia based films as they are released.  We encourage everyone to see this film and support Georgia filmmaking.”

Insurgent (2015) is the second film in the Divergent series. Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) are on the run from Jeanine Matthews (Kate Winslet), the leader of the Erudite faction, and trying to figure out the secret that will help the rebels build a new and better future.
