This event is for an information/recruiting meeting for the start-up of a Junior roller derby league for the Central Georgia Area. 

When we say roller derby, are you thinking of the 1970’s scripted/theatrical version of women clotheslining each other and throwing people over rails??? Well, we can assure you the sport has evolved quite a bit. This is a teamwork and strategy based sport with rules centered around insuring the safety of the players. It is also one of the fastest growing sports for women, men, and juniors! We will have equipment available for inspection by parents and potential skaters, demonstrations, and coaches to answer any questions about the sport or the league. Parents are encouraged to bring potential skaters to ask any questions they have as well.

The Junior Roller Derby league will be open to both girls and boys, ages 8-17. No skating skills are required. We aim to provide a fun, positive, and empowering environment focused on self confidence, teamwork, and strategy.
