Legendary Willie Perkins & John Griffin Book Signing

Authors Willie Perkins and John Griffin will be autographing their books at Roasted Cafe’ featuring a lunch hour reception with hospitality and refreshments. 

Willie Perkins, managed the Allman Brothers Band during some of their most successful years. He lived “the heaven and then the hell” after Duane Allman’s tragic passing. Perkins has now written a new book, “The Allman Brothers Band: Classic Memorabilla”. Willies previous book “No Saints, No Saviors: My Years With The Allman Brothers Band” has recieved excellent reviews and international sales have flurrished.

John Griffin, a poet, artist, and photographer, a 1984 graduate of Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature. Griffin is a Macon, Georgia native and serves on The Board of Trustees with The Allman Brothers Band Museum at The Big House. He is a U.S. Navy Veteran having served with U.S. Middle East Forces in The Persian Gulf. His poems have appeared in anthologies SHADES AND SHADOWS, SILVER VALLEY VOICE, and VELVET CRESCENDO. Griffin has performed spoken word at Gallery West, Atlanta’s Callanwolde Arts Center, Decatur’s Java Monkey Coffee House, Macon’s Sidney Lanier Cottage, Poetic Peace, and Gallery West. His photographs have appeared in Macon Magazine, Georgia Music Magazine, Eleventh Hour, Gritz Magazine, and Kudzu Online. Griffin spent his early years on a family farm near Hahira, Georgia where the way of life included hard work, tending crops, home cooking, and a book-mobile. His book of poetry illustrated with his photos entitled “After The Meltdown” ( Snake Nation Press ) has recently been nominated for a 2015 Georgia Author of The Year Award in Poetry.
