48th Annual Friends of the Library Old Book Sale 2016

The 2016 sale will be March 3-6, with a Preview Party for members on March 2nd. This year’s sale will be held at Central City Park in Macon, GA.
Hours of the sale are:

•Preview Party  Wednesday, 4pm-7pm
•Thursday and Friday, 10am – 7pm
•Saturday, 10am – 5pm

•Sunday, Noon – 5pm

There will be over 100,000 books in 75 categories, with free admission and parking – cash, checks, and credit cards accepted for book purchases.
Our Old Book Sale is an annual event. It is an extremely popular event and people come from all over to get great deals on books for their reading or collecting enjoyment. If you are interested or know a group or organization that would like to volunteer, please contact us. 

Preview Party
Our preview party on Wednesday, March 2 from 4-7pm is for members only. Folks can join at the door. We will be having entertainment and refreshments.  Also note that members will be able to purchase an unlimited number of books that night!

Donate Your Gently Used Books for the Sale:  
Why not clean out your bookshelves to make room for the books you buy at the Old Book Sale? It’s a recycling program that is fun!
If you are wondering what makes a book “gently used”, it is a book that is in good enough condition for someone else to read. Most of our shoppers avoid books that are water damaged, moldy or falling apart. The only exception is a book that is very old but even those items should have all the pages intact. We request that you avoid donating magazines as they are not sold at the Book Sale.

To donate books for the Old Book Sale, you can bring them Tuesdays and Thursday’s to the Friends workroom on Riverside Drive at Riverstreet Crossing shopping Center, 2720 Riverside Drive, Suite 129
