Macon is Celebrating 75 Years of Otis Redding the weekend of September 9-11.  Friday, September 9 is declared Otis Redding Day by the State of Georgia and the City of Macon, with a host of activities in Downtown Macon. 

September 9 will mark the 75th birthday of one of Macon, the state of Georgia and the world’s most favorite sons. In recognition of this historic occasion, the Redding Estate and the Otis Redding Foundation will host Celebrating 75 years of Otis Redding, a weekend of events held in Otis’ hometown of Macon, GA.
