Canoe Building Demonstration at Ocmulgee Mounds NHP by John John Brown (Muscogee), Pedro Zepeda (Seminole Tribe of FL), & Daniel Tommie (Seminole Tribe of FL) using both traditional and modern methods over a 10 day period.

John John Brown (Muscogee) & Pedro Zepeda (Seminole Tribe of FL) will return to Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park to build a canoe using both traditional and modern methods 8/7-8/16/2023. This year they will be joined by Daniel Tommie (Seminole Tribe of FL). We invite you to come out and watch the process, meet the builders, and be ready to learn a lot!

The build will take place over 10 days at the outdoor classroom in front of the Visitor Center during normal park operating hours.
