With zeal to serve the public, the Warner Robins Alumnae Chapter (WRAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on March 4, 1989. Our mission is to foster the high ideals of community service which are reflected in the sorority’s national program. In light of the chapter serving as an interchange connection for many transient sorors, the WRAC has been very visible in the community since its inception over 25 years ago. Annually, the chapter awards scholarships to deserving college-bound high school graduates; sponsors a poetry/art contest to showcase the artistic ability of local youths; promotes the Red Ribbon campaign in the fight against HIV/AIDS; facilitates the Delta Academy and GEMS mentoring programs for middle school and high school young ladies; partners with the city’s CASA and Habitat for Humanity programs; and participates in Relay for Life. We’ve also held numerous voters’ registration drives and hosts the Annual Crimson and Crème Scholarship Gala and Scholarship Luncheon. Our partner, the JOY Foundation, Inc. awards Fine Arts Scholarships and facilitate the annual Dream Apprenticeship Job Program (DJAP) where students ages 14-16 shadow professionals at the worksite.
