Brass Camp at Mercer University

Mercer University invites middle and high school students to join us for BRASS CAMP, June 9 – 11, 2014 at Townsend School of Music, located on Mercer's Macon campus. This day camp for middle and high school brass instrumentalists will focus on improving performance skills and enhancing musicianship in each performer. Students will enjoy master classes and group private lessons with Mercer faculty artists Eric Bubacz, tuba & euphonium; Tom Gibson, trombone; Jay Hanselman, horn; and Jonathan Swygert, trumpet. Additionally they will learn how to practice and prepare for auditions and students will participate in small and large brass chamber groups. The camp will also feature faculty performances and a student concert on the last day of camp.

All middle and high school students in trumpet, french horn and low brass (trombone, euphonium, tuba) are eligible to apply. Camp will run from noon until 5 p.m. daily. Tuition is $125.
