Celebrate the cultures of the Southeastern Native Americans at the Ocmulgee Indian Celebration.

With the rise of infections due to the COVID “Delta” variant, the Ocmulgee Indian Celebration in-person event has been canceled. The park staff and partners are working to provide alternative programming to commemorate the annual event.
In celebration of Southeastern Native American cultures, Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park will host its 29th Ocmulgee Indian Celebration the 3rd weekend in September. The celebration will feature traditional cultural crafts, storytelling, educational programs, live demonstrations, music, and dance. Native American arts and crafts vendors will be selling their crafts as well as food.
Rediscover the mounds and Earth Lodge, artifacts, trails and nature within the park.
Parking will be down the road at the Macon-Bibb Health Department 171 Emery Hwy. A free, handicap accessible shuttle will take you right to the event gate.
