"The Peace of Wild Things" spring choral concert

Presented by Choral Society of Middle Georgia at First Baptist Church of Christ

At times, peace seems elusive, especially when we need it most.  We have our faith, but we long for a physical sign of the peace we seek.  Wendell Berry, an American writer who lives on a farm in Kentucky, penned the poem \”The Peace of Wild Things.\”  It is the theme of the May 1st concert presented by the Choral Society of Middle Georgia and The Mercer University Choir.  \”The Peace of Wild Things\” concert will be presented on Sunday, May 1 at 4:00 P.M.   Choral conductor is Dr. Stanley Roberts, Director of Choral Studies of Mercer University Townsend School of Music and the accompanist is Jonathan Poe.

Afternoon on a Hill (Eric Barnum)

Let the River Run (Carley Simon/arr. Craig Hella Johnson)

The concert is Sunday May 1, 2022, 4:00 P.M. at First Baptist church of Christ in Macon.
